As an extension of FUEL magazine, this blog aims to be a casual, informative discussion setting about topics of interest in the downstream energy space. We are constantly on the lookout for the latest trends, regulations and news from technologies to refining, transportation to sustainability and public policy to finance & investment. That’s a lot, which makes our job fun with an ever-changing and endless universe of information as the world aspires to “go greener.”

We also have a change in the U.S. Administration, which will bring about policy changes that will affect all sectors of the industry. As we go greener and recognize our environmental responsibility, we need to adhere to new regulations and learn how they will affect our sector of the business. We need to learn about alternative fuels and energies and address the pros and cons and social responsibilities that are part of the package. In addition, we need to be aware of the ever-changing technologies and embrace even perhaps some of the “far out” concepts as we look to reduce our dependence on foreign oil as well as our carbon footprint.

There is a lot going on out there, and we hope to be a bookmark in your Web favorites to visit. In addition, we welcome feedback — post a response; agree, disagree, challenge our thinking and bring your knowledge to our board. Together we can help educate those seeking information from us, and we want you as a partner.
